As promised, Mockingbird Lane - Bryan Fuller's modern take on The Munsters - will air. But rather than going forward with a full series, NBC is opting to air the pilot as a one-hour Halloween special.
An eBay seller’s attempt to profit off the murder of 12 people with a
Halloween mask of accused Colorado movie theater shooter James Holmes
was foiled when eBay yanked down the auction.
The online auction site pulled the listing, saying it doesn’t let users make money from “human tragedy or suffering,” ABC News reported.
The mask was said to have been custom-made for a collector, and then
won by the seller in a poker game in Europe. The auction started at $500
— though no one bid before it was yanked.
“SHOCK EVERYONE YOU KNOW!” read the item description posted by an eBay user with the handle “realface13.”
“There is nothing more scary [sic] than crawling into James Holmes mind
and wearing his face,” it continued. “His ‘soul penetrating eyes’ and
‘The Joker’ orange hair makes this mask the most disturbing object you
will ever own.”
